We have had snow days all week.....so we took it off.....yesterday my mom took the girls to see Frozen and to the mall.  I stayed home and watched Gatsby! But today we went back hitting it hard..........Emmie had her winter aims bench mark test last Wednesday with her teacher.....she passed everything with flying colors even reading which I was worried about....she had to read 30 words per minute and read 67 words per minute!

Emmie loves curly hair but her hair does not hold a curl.....so from time to time I put rag curlers in her hair......simple, cheap, and easy.....and look how curly it gets!!!!  Google rag curlers to learn more :)

Is there a difference? The hubby and I did a compare and contrast on this.....I am NOT a house wife......I am a stay at home mom! His mom was not a stay at home mom (though she did not work)......she was a house wife.....she took care of the house and her husband. Therefore sometimes the hubby expects me to be both....ha ha ha.....that's funny.  I rock as a stay at home mom which includes......home schooling, packing lunches, homework, school events, class party's, baths for kids, prayers with kids, teaching kids, loving kids, meeting all the kids needs, doctor visits, piano lessons, taking care of sick kids, holding, loving, cuddling kissing, discipline........the list really goes on forever..... BUT........house wife I fail miserably at......cooking! cleaning! laundry! dishes! sweeping! mopping! toilets! Vacuuming!.......errrrrr....and more......... I do not want to be a house wife, I am no good at it!!  Hubby's mom on the other hand kept a spotless house and cleaned the ...

Yes today and tomorrow are more snow days....what a crazy winter!  I love having the kiddos home....we went and rented movies and made popcorn.....of course we didnt get out of bed until 11am! I decided when public schools have snow day then home schooling also has a snow day......because it's just not fair!!!!!!

She has the smallest mouth! Her tooth growing in is the size of two missing teeth.....she is so proud though!!!!!

Friday was yet another snow day due to the cold.....and I let Evan play with play dough for the first time he really just liked eating it!

I think Justice is so over priced.....but the kids had a gift card and they love that place.....so the girls and I went out shopping today and ended up with hats and glasses.....I love their fashion sense!

Lizzie brought home a paper with a rubric for a report due next week.....it was on comparing and contrasting 2 types of food......so we did the report then she brought home an example.....the small orange paper......I think ours is on steroids!

Well Bestie must leave.....and I am not very happy about this.....I miss her so much! I tried to stop her....I thought about locking her up in my basement! My kids loved Bestie and I'm pretty sure she would have taken Emmie home with her! Before she left we went to the McKinley Monument which was closed due to the weather...... And of course we had to show her the football hall of fame.....that's what Ohio is famous for!  Go figure!

We played a lot of SETTLERS! Brad won twice, Bestie won once, and I cant count how many times I won.....not going to lie the game got ugly from time to time because well my hubby is a sore loser!  But we all had a great time....one night we played it until 2am and Brad nd I had to be up at 6am.....that was painful!  But worth it to be with Bestie! If we were not eating or playing games we were doing a tour of our church history.....On Saturday we went up to Kirtland where our church built the first temple.....I was super blessed because the hubbys aunt and uncle who I love dearly watched the 5 kids (the hubby and 4 kids) so we could do the tour without the kids.....they live right by Kirtland.....Huge thank you to them for being so amazing! This was the first place we toured.....The Whitney Store where the Word of Wisdom revelation took place! Bestie is standing where Christ appeared......how amazing is that! The rules for the schoolhouse......love them! ...

We have not had a lot of snow this year because it has been way too cold to snow....minus 0..........I think we have had 5 too cold for school days.....but today we got the snow!

We are learning about oceans in Science and we decided to make a tide pool with salt water....they had a great time with this project!

On our way to the airport......we have waited all day! She said she was hungry so we brought her a pepsi and candy bar! The sign to get off the freeway to go to the airport! The time we left! The temperature! My speed... Her flight on time! We made a sign that said...WELCOME TO OHIO BESTIE!  Besie was the last one off the plane so everyone walked by it and said how cute....then a lady from the airport asked if she could take a picture....and later it ended up on the airports twitter page.....we are famous! This shows just how excited I was.....

Now this really has nothing to do with homeschooling except that I took off 5 days to party with my Bestie!  I am from California and miss it terribly......even more now that Bestie has been here.  I have been in Ohio for a long 3 years and have not seen my bestie since I left.  We talk all the time and text the first thing every morning, all through the day, and right before bed.......alright that sounds creepy.....but she knows me better then anyone else.......she texted me when the plane landed....WHAT IF YOU DONT LIKE ME ANYMORE?  How is that possible?  Well it really felt like I just saw her yesterday, like 3 years did not pass......but it will NOT be another 3 years before we see each other again!!!! Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE to eat!  Well Bestie cant eat as much as me but we had a great time out eating!~ Steak and Shake!  Her favorite......I honestly never go here!
