Horrifying Experience
This has to do with my 6 year old daughter that I am eschooling.
This is the scariest moment of my life.....I got up a little past midnight last night it was pitch black except for the glow on the TV screen which was on but no volume. No other light in the house was on and since we don't live in the city there are no street lights or city lights. Just deep darkness. I went to the bathroom next door to our room where my husband and baby peacefully. I decided after I went to the bathroom to check on my three sleeping beauty's down the hall in the same room. They also had their small TV on with no volume that lite their large room up a little, but not much. Enough for me to walk close up to each girl and kiss them on the check. I went to my youngest daughters bed and there she laid curled up in her Spider-Man blanket asleep. Then I went to my next daughters bed and went to find her all covered up in her polka dot sheets, as I went to uncover her I quickly realized she was not in her bed.......I quickly glanced at my older daughters bed to make sure she was in bed and she was sound asleep with her One Direction bear. I did not want to overreact, so I looked on all sides of my daughters bed to see if she fell off the bed and she had not, I scanned the room to see if she was sleeping on the floor somewhere, the room is good size with a walk in closet. She was NO WHERE! I screamed her name, as loud as I could! I flipped on the light ran into my room screaming....there goes not overreacting........flipped on my light, screaming at my husband, EMME IS GONE!!!!!! He ran into her room thinking I was confused.....our baby is now awake along with the two other girls, and I am frantically screaming her name as loud as I can over and over! Where is she? This can not be happening, I can not lose one of my kids! Brad checks all upstairs, loft, closets, bedrooms, and she is GONE! GONE! NO!!!!! I tell him to go downstairs check there (she obviously won't be downstairs, it is really dark down there and our little guy had destroyed the front room before bed so toys were everywhere, we would have heard her stepping on the toys and she would have heard me screaming her name).....get the phone and call 911! Well on his way downstairs with me still screaming like a crazy lady at midnight missing her daughter........Emmie was sleep walking in the pitch black, in the dark DOWNSTAIRS. Sound asleep! She had no idea I had been screaming for her, she had no idea where she was, we put her back in bed and she went to sleep like nothing had just happened.....and with a racing heart I stayed up all night freaked out! I think I will move my bed into their room tonight! I hate that split second when you think the worst has happened.
Yikes! Remind me not to tell you about my sil's experience with her sleep-walker...Just be sure to always lock your doors-I'm just saying. Maybe even consider a chain lock that she can't reach.
